As a mom of a little mini me, I'm always on the lookout for mommy and me outfits, finding them far and few. This is until a few month ago when the amazing kids clothing brand Flynn Jaxson launched their FJ mama collection. A collection of mommy clothing that matches your Little.
The first outfit we did was the T-shirt dress, which was all the hype this year. I probably own about 5 of them, its comfortable, stylish and works with sandals or even dressed up with heals. So imagine my excitement when finding a T-shirt dress combo for Luna and I? It was like winning the Lottery!The Flynn Jaxson T-shirt dress is a perfect designed dress for us mammas, it's stylish but still comfortable, with a perfect above the knee length that allows you to run around and play with your Little without having to worry about flashing anybody.
Every time Luna and I wear our FJ dresses we have literally had strangers walking up to us, asking us where we got our adorable outfits and paying us compliments.
Next was the FJ Romper, how many of you moms have dressed your Littles in rompers and thought, "that looks really comfortable, I wish I had one?" I know I have! After wearing the romper several times now I can honestly say that its even more comfortable than you imagined. My favourite part of it being of course that I am matching with my little munchkin even though she rocks it way better than I do. I absolutely love this outfit, its modern, its unique and its unexplainably comfortable.
A little bit about the company:
Flynn Jaxon was created in May 2016 and was the brain child of Thea Cogill. It was started with the idea of providing practical, stylish, monochrome baby accessories to a market that was saturated with bright colours. In 2017 Marisa Baglione came on board adding new life, energy and ideas to the team, expanding it to a full clothing range.
Both women are moms of toddler boys, Knox and Max, who are the faces of Flynn Jaxon and are a big source of inspiration behind their design concepts.
Flynn Jaxon draws inspiration from international trends and places emphasis on style rather that fashion trends as fashion is seasonal and style lasts forever, just like their garments. Their range includes FJ Mama, FJ kicks and FJ swimwear as well as the original kids range.
All Flynn Jaxon garments and accessories are produced locally in Durban where Flynn Jaxon is based.
A little bit of excitement for us mommies to look forward to, the Flynn Jaxon team is hard at work designing and producing an FJ Basics collection which sees them focusing on babygrows that can become part of any new baby’s basics wardrobe.
